Today

The upper pic was taken today, between showers. When you compare it with the lower one taken in November...........the grass has greened up,considerably and the two Fiddlewood trees are recovering from their "haircuts" in October.

Greetings from Scotland !

Immediately I saw the card I thought of (purple) heather!
This great little landscape arrived today from Mary in Scotland , as part of the Art2Mail Group 18 swap. Posted by Picasa

Are you right or left brained?

I first met Gerry http://www.sewing-southpaw.blogspot.com because of our common link of left handedness, and when today I read this
"Are you right or left brained" I HAD to try it!
The result.......see for yourself!

You Are 40% Left Brained, 60% Right Brained
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.
The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Christmas may be over..........

BUT..........our family received a gift that lasts the entire year!
Our darling daughter and her husband are tired of the "commercialism of Christmas",
and as no-one in our family really needed any gifts, they sponsored in the family name
the upkeep of a (cat) kennel at the Dakabin RSPCA.
As the sign on the kennel states:

My kennel friends are the Curlewis family
Who chose..........
....... gift of hope to those in need.

The youngest member of the family,10y.o. Kayla received a junior membership in the RSPCA:
it included a cap with RSPCA logo,
stickers, activity book and newsletters throughout the year.
So KJ's gift lasts all year long as well as teaching her "something"

For those of you maybe worried by the cat in the tree............DONT!
Photoshop is a wonderful tool!

And may 2007 bring you all that you wish for yourselves. Posted by Picasa

January 1, 2007

May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts.
May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $20bills.
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy.
May the problems you had forget your home address!
In simple words ............ May 2007 be your best year yet!
