To tat or not to tat?

At last year's Stitches and Craft Show in Brisbane I purchased a set of tatting needles........mainly because I'm too fumble fingered to master the shuttle.
I persisted, for a while, then it all went into Limbo as I got more frustrated with each attempt.
This year I went back to hassle Judy Hall into another demo, and as luck would have it the patient lady(Kerry??)who actually demonstrated for me, is a leftie like me!

So after another demo and yet another "how to" book to add to my library, I've started(trying to) tat yet again.
It's amazing what a difference it makes when you hold the thread in the correct position!!
The book by Barbara Foster "Learn Needle tatting" has clearer photos than previous books I've seen and after working out whether I'm a leftie or "normal" I've managed a couple of rings.Nothing spectacular mind you,but one day.........

I can see I need a lot more patience and perseverence before I get any-where near succesful:-(
